Summer Jam is an exciting class offered to drum students of the Groove Dr.’s drum instruction program and "On Track Music." This class gives the students the opportunity to play with other musicians in a band situation for the very first time. Rehearsals take place once a week for an hour throughout the summer (June – August). The class ends with a bang at Wheeler Farm with our groups performing for the annual “Student Stock” concert! This concert is an exciting event that takes place in the beautiful outdoor amphitheatre where friends and family can enjoy an all day concert FREE of charge!
We have seen an amazing increase in the amount of practicing our students do during these classes. Most of the students become better players by the end of the program. In fact, the Summer Jam program is a stepping stone into the “A.M.P.D.” performance group bands that rehearse and perform throughout the year.
